This is a unique and rare piece never cataloged and kept in his private collection due to a mishap of framing. When he painted the subject matter on the custom cut wood backing for the frame - he was unaware it would only fit in the frame one way. The frame ended up being upside down! 🙃 So he kept it. A happy accident? Being sold from his estate.
